Assured Hotel’s experience with insolvent hotels has covered multiple cases and hotel types over the last 15 years. We are aligned in our role and responsibilities, as it is vital to protect stakeholders and creditor exposures to protect cash during trade and, where appropriate, maximize value on exit through improved performance.
Always on a case-by-case basis, our role can include:
- Pre-appointment assessments.
- Managing agents with “boots on the ground” to exit
- Scope of work to include day-to-day operational management, sales & marketing and revenue management to grow sales
- Introducing procurement partners and suppliers
- “Back office” areas of financial control & reporting, HR and legal compliance.
The recommendation to close a trading business is very rare. Usually, even very badly performing hotels have been turned around to become cash-positive through a formal insolvency appointment, which then leads to a successful exit as a going concern to new owners or investors.
